 Reported in Jang (May 15, 2014), Public Accounts Committee chairman Khurshid Shah  caught an error in the audit report of a government organization, in which a comma had been changed into a decimal point. The error cost the department Rs 2.5978 million.

Umar Akmal denied parking in Gaddafi stadium

Nawa-e-Waqt reports (May 21, 2014) that security officials at the Gaddafi stadium refused to allow cricketer Umar Akmal from parking his car in the main enclosure inside the premises in violation of the standing operating procedures yet again. But realizing the sensitivity of the matter (muamlay ki nazakat ko bhanptay hue) they eventually allowed him in.

Naswar box now costs Rs 30 in Buner

According to Jang (May 16, 2014), a Jamaat-e-Islami legislator told the National Assembly that the price of a box of Naswar (tobacco snuff) had risen from Rs 5 to Rs 30 in his constituency in Buner. He told the newspaper that he was not fond of Naswar (shughaf nahee rakhtay).

No load shedding in prisons

Fisherman catches 4,000 fish in a go
