Ismail Says Parting Ways With PTI, Imran As Exodus Continues
Yet another senior politician, Imran Ismail, announced to part ways with PTI chairman Imran Khan and the party, terming the media talk possibly his "last political press conference".

"I have decided that I am resigning from positions of the PTI, as I am the additional secretary general and a member of the core committee," Ismail said while addressing a presser at the Karachi Press Club (KPC), on Saturday.

"I am also leaving the PTI…Khan sahib I bid adieu to you, too," he added.

Speaking about his "amazing" journey with the former premier and being the founding members of the party, the PTI leader said a "diversion" came during the mass contact campaign after the government's ouster in April last year.

"A diversion or narrative started to gain ground that the PTI was up against the army and in this narrative-building, many friends were uncomfortable and advised Imran Khan [against it]," Ismail said.

He added, "Someone has to take responsibility. I'm not taking names but those who gave such advice to Imran Khan should reflect."
