PTI Workers Booked For Attacking Radio Pakistan Building In Peshawar
Peshawar police have registered a case under terrorism charges against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers for attacking the building of Radio Pakistan and setting on fire the official record and equipment.

The police have nominated 20 PTI workers and 200–300 unidentified persons in the first information report (FIR).

 



On May 10, the PTI workers launched a major attack on the building of Radio Pakistan Peshawar. Hundreds of violent protestors stormed into the building of Radio Pakistan and broke the main gate of the building.

"The miscreants ransacked the newsroom and other sections of the station," DG Radio Pakistan said.

He said the PTI workers perpetrated violence against the staff, including women. They set on fire the official record and equipment, he added.

The protestors also set fire to the parked vehicles inside the station and looted the official equipment, including cameras and microphones.

He said the sole objective of the demonstrators was loot and plunder, and they even hurled life threats at the staff members.
