Punjab Elections Not Happening In 90 Days Now 'Written In Stone': Rana Sanaullah
Federal minister for interior Rana Sanaullah has said that "it is now a line in stone" that Punjab elections cannot be held in 90 days.

The interior minister said this while giving an interview to a private news channel. Sanaullah was asked whether the order of the three-member bench was considered in the National Security Committee. He refrained from giving a clear answer to this question.

Interior minister Rana Sanaullah asked that when there is no order of the Supreme Court, then which decision should be supported and followed? "Even if there was any doubt, Justice Athar Minallah has given a detailed decision and everything has become clear," Sanaullah added. "But the Chief Justice formed a bench, it was excluded by the majority of four and three, now the decision does not exist, the decision of the three-member bench is a minority, it cannot be implemented," he said.

Rana Sanaullah stated that after the decision of Justice Athar Minallah, the Election Commission of Pakistan should also reconsider its decision to hold elections in Punjab, since "the minority decision cannot be followed".

He further said that if the army is not available to secure the election, the Punjab police will not have enough capacity on its own to conduct the election.
