The world’s largest and busiest instant messaging application, WhatsApp, is soon going to make great changes for its users, which are likely to introduce a feature like ‘Twitter Space’.

According to Web at Info, a website that monitors WhatsApp updates, the Meta-owned messaging app is making some minor changes to audio chat and calls. Soon the app will offer features like Twitter Spaces for users.

As of beta version 2.23.7.12, a new WhatsApp call interface will be introduced, replacing the call button with a wavy logo. This logo will appear at the top of the menu. Thus, the top audio bar is extended.

The website has named this new feature ‘Audio Chat’ and shared a screenshot of it.

This will improve group chats, in which many people will be able to share audio files with friends and colleagues. That is, they are being made like Twitter space.

As WhatsApp works with ‘one-time’ photos, the app is also working on ‘one-time voice’ messages. Such features are especially useful for people who value their privacy.

Also, technology analysts have compared it to Slack’s Hiddlezia Discord Voice app. According to analysts, the voice option is likely to be closer to Discord.

WhatsApp is working on improving its audio-related features. If this feature comes in future versions of WhatsApp, it will be available on both Android and iOS. It is not clear how long this feature will be available to users, as many test features are yet to be added to the app.

It should be noted that WhatsApp, the most popular social media app around the world, recently introduced a new WhatsApp application for computers or laptops that will make it possible to make group calls.

Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder of Facebook and parent company MetaPlatform, announced on Facebook that it has introduced a new app for Windows computers and laptops. Calling features have been added in this new version. The performance of the new app has also been improved as compared to the old application.

In the new desktop app, it will now be possible to make video calls with up to 8 people and audio calls with up to 32 people. The company says that the number of people using video calling will increase in the future.

The company says that it will be easier to join group calls using the WhatsApp application on the desktop of a computer or laptop.

Earlier, the company introduced two more new features. The first feature doubled the number of people in a WhatsApp group. The number of members in the groups was announced to be increasing from 512 to 1024.

Another ‘Voice Status’ feature was introduced, which will allow you to set WhatsApp statuses through voice notes.
