Despite the rise in the number of verified positive cases to 1,578,464, the country has not reported any deaths caused by coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) recently released data showing that throughout the course of the previous day, at least 105 people nationwide tested positive for Covid-19.

In the last 24 hours, Pakistan carried out 3,768 tests, and 105 of those results were positive. A 2.79 percent Covid positive ratio was noted.

On Friday, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi mandated all required actions to combat coronavirus and dengue.

While presiding over a meeting, he stated that a comprehensive strategy should be established to eradicate coronavirus and dengue, and prompt actions should be taken while adhering to the standard operating procedures.

The chief minister gave the directive that spray pumps and other equipment should be kept in working order and that indoor and outdoor surveillance should receive special attention. He argued that the dashboard of the Punjab Information Technology Board should only display real facts. The cost of the CBC test to diagnose dengue is Rs 95, and secretaries will be placed in various regions to keep an eye on dengue management efforts there.

Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that although the coronavirus situation in Punjab was typical, people should take care to avoid getting sick. The booster dose would be administered to citizens who have already received the second dose. He gave the order to organize a cabinet subcommittee.

Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Dr Javed Akram, Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Dr Jamal Nasir, the chief secretary, Additional IG (Special Branch), secretaries of health, environment, local government, school education, Auqaf departments, commissioner Lahore, DG Health Services Punjab, Chief Executive Officer Punjab Healthcare Commission, and others attended the meeting, while Dr Waseem Akram and Dr Tanveer Salam participated through video-link.
