Erin Holland‘s attempt to speak Urdu has delighted the fans, as she read out her lesson to her ‘teacher’, former Pakistan women cricket captain Urooj Khan.
Holland, PSL T10 League presenter, posted the video on her Twitter handle. Dressed in a shalwar kameez, she says, “Hi guys, it’s Urdu lesson 101 with Urooj, my local language teacher.”
She then proceeds to count to 10 in Urdu in a flawless manner, and looks at Urooj for the next question.
The former skipper asks her what she would say if it starts raining. “Dekho baarish ho rahi hai [See, it is raining],” she replies as she mimics raindrops falling off her hands.
Urooj says, “What would you say if someone’s got a problem, and Holland says, “Kya masla hai,” as the two conclude their lesson of the day.
The post immediately grabbed the attention of the Twitterati who praised Holland for trying out her linguistic skills.

Last month, Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting revealed that he and wife Erin Holland keep coming to Pakistan because they love the people and culture.
Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of training with the Karachi Kings ahead of PSL 8, Cutting said they “love” coming to Pakistan.
“We look forward to it every year, coming back to PSL and Pakistan, the hospitality and the cricket…it is awesome,” he expressed.
“PSL has always been tough in terms of standard. Local bowlers dominate here and it really makes this league apart from others around the world.”
Meanwhile, Pakistani cricket fans won’t just be looking forward to Cutting’s cricket skills, but Holland’s Urdu skills, too. It seems the couple has now become a vital part of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
