'Imran Must Leave Plaster Politics Behind And Face Courts'
PTI chief Imran Khan needs to do away with his 'plaster politics' and face the ongoing cases, according to Muzamal Suharwardy.

The analyst told Khabar Say Aagay host Raza Rumi it was time the former premier stopped evading court hearings.

He noted that a political party is in a haste for elections and two judges have chosen to side with them; it would've been better if the high courts were allowed to pursue the matter.

Journalist Naseem Siddiqui highlighted that it is the Chief Justice's prerogative to decide how he wants to form a bench.

He added that there has been no action against PMLN's Maryam Nawaz after her 'public insult' of the SC judges.

Lawyer Salman Abid said that the aggrieved side in the case will not accept the outcome even if the apex court constitutes a full bench.

He held the Sharif family responsible for the mess judiciary was currently in, owing to their "bench fixing" prior to 2018.
A special court in Islamabad earlier granted Imran an interim bail, which later saw extensions on medical grounds. The PTI chief had received bullet wounds in an attack on him in Wazirabad last year. In its application filed with the banking court, the FIA requested the formation of a medical board. Subsequently, the court summoned Imran on Feb 28.

Murtaza Solangi said that the current situation is due to the judiciary's intervention in a political matter.

"The verdict will turn controversial regardless of what it is," he maintained.

Earlier today, the Federal Investigation Agency accused PTI chairman Imran Khan of “misusing” his interim bail in order to skip court hearings, as it approached a banking court in the prohibited funding case.

The agency had booked the former premier and other leaders of the PTI suspecting wrongful funding by the party. The case was filed on behalf of the state via FIA Corporate Banking Circle.

A special court in Islamabad had granted Imran an interim bail, which later saw extensions on medical grounds. The PTI chief had received bullet wounds in an attack in Wazirabad last year.

In its application filed with the banking court today (Feb 25), FIA requested the court to form a medical board to examine the former prime minister’s health.

Meanwhile, the court summoned the PTI chief on Feb 28 as his counsel said that he was due to appear in the Islamabad High Court the same day.
