Jemima's 'What's Love Got To Do With It?' To Release In Pakistan On March 3
Jemima Goldsmith's What's Love Got To Do With It? is all set for its release in Pakistan on March 3, the film producer revealed on Twitter.

"March 3rd in Pakistan!" she said while replying to singer Shehzad Roy as to when the fans in the country were going to be able to see it on their screens.

Jemima's maiden film includes the pivotal roles of Shahzad Latif, Emma Thompson, Lily James, Sajal Aly, and Shabana Azmi, and revolves around the culture of arranged marriages in South Asian households.

Meanwhile, Author Fatima Bhutto, who has already watched the movie, said, "What’s Love Got to Do With It is a hilarious, moving film that does something that hasn’t been done before: it makes young Muslims feel proud of who they're and what their culture has the capacity to absorb," Fatima tweeted. "So proud of Jemima and her brilliant film."

In 2021, the British screenwriter discontinued her association with the hit Netflix show ‘The Crown’ over a disagreement regarding the portrayal of the late Princess of Wales, Diana.

Jemima, a friend of Diana, was asked to give her input regarding the princess’s story, and had agreed to help with the storyline for the fifth season.

However, reports in the British press claimed that she was unhappy with how Diana was depicted in the show, maintaining her story was narrated without “respect or compassion.”

“It was really important to me that the final years of my friend’s life be portrayed accurately and with compassion, as has not always happened in the past,” she was quoted as saying by The Sunday Times.

The producer was believed to be an integral part of Diana’s social circle in her last years, before Diana died in a car crash in 1997. She also requested that her contributions be removed from ‘The Crown’.
