‘Pathaan’ has become the first Indian film to breach Rs 1000 crore barrier worldwide during the first phase of its release. The movie has collected $122.08 million worldwide. It has minted Rs 623 crore gross and Rs 516.92 crore net at the box office in India.

On the other hand, ‘Pathaan’ grossed Rs 377 crore ($ 45.97 million) at the box office worldwide. King Khan’s film is still holding strong in theatres, despite competition from new releases such as Kartik Aaryan's Shehzada and the Hollywood film Ant-Man.

Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback film 'Pathaan' has been in the news for various reasons. Directed by Siddharth Anand, it also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, Ashutosh Rana, and others in key roles. Interestingly, the film has Salman Khan playing a cameo. After a long time, fans were delighted to see Shah Rukh Khan and Salman in the same frame.

The film defied the boycott trend that has been considered one of the major reasons behind top movies' failure at the box office during 2022. Post-COVID the market has completely changed.

There's such amazing content being produced for OTT platforms that the traditional cinema industry in the view of many failed to cope with the challenge.

However, Pathaan has changed the scenario and now top stars like Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan are coming up with new movies soon.

This could change the entire scenario once again. The cinema going culture is back with Shah Rukh's Pathaan.

How far can this trend continue is the question on trade pundits' minds now.
