The first woman from the Hindu community, Dr Sana Ramchand Gulwani, has been appointed as the assistant commissioner of Hassanabdal after passing the Central Superior Services (CSS) exam 2020.

A 27-year-old shining star of the Pakistani Hindu community has assumed the charge of assistant commissioner and administrator of the town.

Dr Sana Ramchand was the first female from the Hindu community to join the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) after passing the Central Superior Services (CSS) exam in 2020.

Dr Sana Ramchand was born in the small town of Shikarpur, Sindh, and she completed her primary and secondary education at a local government school in the town.

She acquired the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University in 2016.

Dr. Sana began her career as a urologist shortly after completing her MBBS, but her desire to further prove her abilities and serve the motherland motivated her to prepare for the CSS exam.

While talking to journalists, Dr Sana Ramchand said that her parents did not want her to join the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS). The family has always wished for their daughter to become a successful doctor. However, Dr Sana Ramchand managed to fulfill her ambition and her parents’ desire simultaneously.

Dr Sana Ramchand has three siblings as well, and all of them are doing well in their professional lives. One of her sisters is an engineer in Germany, and the other is an MBBS doctor.

Credit goes to her parents, who gave quality education to their daughters. The determination of parents and daughters has demonstrated that obstacles and barriers cannot prevent anyone from achieving their goals.
