Azaz Syed Sticks With His Report On Shahbaz Gill: 'Things Will Soon Be On Record'
Journalist Azaz Syed has said that he stands by his statement that he made about PTI leader Shahbaz Gill, saying things 'will be on record' soon.

"I never intend to target an individual. I analyse the available information on an objective basis," he told fellow journalist Umar Cheema during a podcast.

But after Shahbaz Gill denied the development, I rechecked the information in question with different, multiple sources and they have reconfirmed it.

According to Syed, not only the information that he had was reconfirmed, he was told that Shahbaz Gill had admitted to the points, raised by him, during a questioning.

A day earlier, Shahbaz Gill announced to take the journalists –  Azaz Syed and Umar Cheema – to court for their remarks made about him in a recent podcast.

Addressing a presser on Monday, the party stalwart dismissed the remarks as baseless and concocted, and asked for an inquiry into the same.

“I deny the allegations categorically and refute them in the strongest words possible,” Gill told media.

He said the journalists had made false allegations with ‘absolute certainty’. “Nowhere did they use the words ‘allegedly’ or ‘reportedly’, except for once,” he said.

Gill added that the two journalists had crossed ‘three red lines’ while making allegations against him.

He had said that the those making such accusations should be questioned because they had crossed several lines without any tangible evidence against him. "This should be account for," he said.

Gill went on to question if there will be any probe into the claims made ‘by the friends in the powerful media houses’.

“I am not asking for [sedition] cases against them, but there should at least be a questioning,” he maintained.

The politician said members of his own party have been inquiring him if the claims made had any substance in them.
