Saqib Nisar Major Player Among Five Who Ousted Nawaz Sharif Govt: Sanaullah
Ex-CJP Saqib Nisar was a major player in the conspiracy to throw out the Nawaz government, says Interior Minister and PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah.

"There were five people behind the conspiracy to oust the then regime and they had a complete mutual understanding for the success of their plot," the senior politician said.

"Imran Khan (being the beneficiary), Qamar Javed Bajwa, Faiz Hameed, Saqib Nisar, and Asif Saeed Khosa, who led the bench, were all part of it.

To a question, the interior minister said the judiciary was managing the cases but being 'managed' isn't the right word for the former CJP. "He was an active part of the conspiracy hatched," he maintained.

Earlier today, anchorperson Aftab Iqbal claimed that ex-COAS Bajwa recorded Imran Khan telling him ways to intensify his campaign against PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and other politicians.

Iqbal said that the former general made the revelation to him, himself. In the videos, the then PM would praise him for his steps aimed at Nawaz, and would ask him to ‘do more’.

“When I told Gen Bajwa that these recordings will be used against him, he replied, I don’t fear [doing so now],” indicating that he was on the brink of an outburst.

The anchorperson opined that the former COAS tried to shield Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed by saying that he had nothing to do with it.

He further said that when he told the PTI chief about a conversation with Gen (retd) Bajwa related to state secrets, he said, “Tell him to do whatever he wants to, I haven’t even started yet.”

It was revealed earlier that the former military chief saw the PTI leadership as a liability for the country and thought Pakistan would cease to exist if Imran continued to run its affairs, according to columnist Javed Chaudhry.

According to him, the ex-military chief made the remarks when asked about Imran’s ouster from power.
