Health Dept Investigates Irregularities, 'Dubious' Appointments Under Yasmin Rashid
The Punjab Health Department has launched an investigation into dubious appointments and financial irregularities amounting to millions of rupees during the tenure of former health minister Yasmin Rashid.

Sources said that bogus dengue workers were hired during the tenure of Yasmin Rashid.

Sixteen officials are being investigated for this scam, and show-cause notices have also been issued to them.

The accused officials are directed to respond to the show-cause notice within seven days.

Sources said that a large sum of money was being extracted from the national exchequer in the name of ghost employees' salaries.

These officials are accused of paying less to daily wager employees and using cash payments instead of payment through a check to hide their corruption.
