Huzaifa Jamil, who topped the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exam globally, has been nominated for the international award.

Huzaifa achieved the highest score in Financial Reporting exam, being among the 107,142 students who took part in the discipline globally.

Speaking about his achievement, the bright youth expressed gratitude to his parents and teachers, and attributed his achievement to his hard-work and consistency.

The topper termed it a privilege to also have memorised Holy Quran, adding he planned to embark on a successful auditing career next.

According to him, he looks forward to the international opportunities and rewards associated with being a globally-recognised accounting professional.

"Huzaifa’s drive and ambition serve as a source of inspiration for the talented youth in our country. His success serves as a reminder that Pakistanis have the potential to excel on a global stage if they are given the right opportunities and platforms," said ACCA Campaign Manager for Asia Pacific, Rashid Khan.

Khan stressed support for the bright student and other young individuals like him, terming it the key to a successful future of the country.

The ACCA qualification is highly regarded and recognised worldwide as it offers career opportunities with the leading employers. It tests competencies that a modern accountant needs, with a focus on ethics and professionalism.

Earlier this month, Saad Hayat was selected for the Young Global Leaders class of 2022, being one of only two representatives from Pakistan to have made the achievement. The other Pakistani was Nighat Dad from the Digital Rights Foundation.

Saad has been a member of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan’s Strategic Reforms and Implementation Unit where he advised cabinet members on critical reforms in agriculture, civil services and climate change, alongside supporting the Prime Minister’s Task Force on Institutional Reforms, also implementing the Prime Minister’s Performance Agreements with the Federal Cabinet.

Each year, the Forum of Young Global Leaders goes through a rigorous selection process to identify, select and commemorate remarkable leaders under 40 who come from different communities and industries worldwide. In their words: “These young leaders exemplify what we need most today: hope, empathy, authenticity, and driving solutions that change the world for the better.”
