ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior leader Fawad Chaudhry will be presented before a court on Monday shortly as his two-day physical ramand will expire today.
The police will produce Fawad before the court after conducting his medical examination.
It is pertinent to mention here that Fawad is facing sedition charges for publicly threatening the officials of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in a press conference.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry Sunday filed a plea to the Kohsar Police Station’s magistrate seeking his medical examination.
In his petition, Fawad said that the federal police are not conducting his medical test which is a violation of his constitutional rights.
He stated that in the past the police had mentally and physically tortured PTI leaders Senator Azam Khan Swati and Shahbaz Gill. “The police might do the same with me this is why they are not conducting my medical,” he added.
He urged the court to take immediate notice of the violation of orders.
The Islamabad Police have shifted the PTI leader to Lahore to conduct his photogrammetry test to match his voice in the forensic laboratory.

A sessions court on Saturday approved two-day physical remand of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry in the sedition case filed by the Election Commission.
Announcing the verdict, Judicial Magistrate Waqas Ahmed Raja directed the accused to appear in the court on Monday.
As per the detailed order, the prosecution said it was still to recover the PTI leader’s mobile, laptop, and other devices. It had termed the photogrammetric test of the accused essential.
On the occasion, the counsel for the ECP had also implored the court to extend the physical remand.
Earlier today, a local court in Islamabad accepted a police request to extend Fawad’s physical remand, as it reversed an order by a judicial magistrate in this regard.
Judge Tahir Mehmood Khan had also ordered investigators to produce the accused before a magistrate to pursue the plea, today.
On Friday, the court rejected police request seeking extension in the physical remand of the accused, and sent him to jail on a 14-day judicial remand in the sedition case filed by the Election Commission.
Police had told the court that the remand was necessary for further probe, but the plea was rejected.
The court had earlier approved Fawad’s two-day physical remand. During the hearing, the PTI leader denied all charges and termed the FIR as fake.
In their arguments in the court, Fawad’s lawyers had contended that their client was a target of political victimisation. They also said that the former information minister had given the remarks in Lahore, but the case was registered in Islamabad.
The party stalwart was taken into custody after his statement that the governors will be put on trial under Article 6 for their failure to announce a date for the elections as enshrined in the Constitution, and that those at the helm will be given an exemplary punishment and chased to their homes for their doing.
A case against the PTI leader was registered on Jan 24 at the Kohsar police station on the complaint of the secretary ECP, Omer Hamid Khan. The FIR lodged in this regard stated that Fawad hurled verbal threats at the Commission and its members in a public speech to media.
