On Wednesday Pathaan was released on more than 4,000 screens. It is estimated that it be the highest-grossing Hindi film post-Covid.
Shahrukh Khan’s past five films made an average net 800 million each.
Post pandemic Bollywood has been faced with flop after flop in terms of films, a fall from the blockbusters it was known for churning out. Added to this has been the rising competition in the form of South Indian cinema.
It is now hoped Pathaan will break the series of flops and Bollywood may just get its magic back.
