He noted that a crisis is brewing within PML-N, with Maryam Nawaz' recent elevation in the party being the bone of contention.
"Imran Khan's current policy may prove to be a dangerous gamble if he doesn't win back both K-P and Punjab in the forthcoming elections."
Abbas also pointed at the failure of the former premier's party to motivate people to cast their votes for them in Karachi during the Sindh local government elections.
Earlier today, the KP Assembly stood dissolved as Governor Haji Ghulam Ali signed the summary sent by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in this regard.
The notification was subsequently sent to CM Mahmood and Opposition Leader Akram Khan Durrani.
The communiqué stated that the assembly and cabinet were dissolved under Clause 1 of Article 112 of the Constitution.
