Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Forming New Political Party?
Senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has reportedly decided to leave PML-N. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is purportedly quite unhappy at Miftah Ismail's removal as finance minister, which is why he has been sidelining himself for the past 8 months, according to sources.

As per senior journalist Arif Hameed Bhatti, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has held 3 meetings in Karachi and he is going to form a new party. He reports that Miftah Ismail will also join him in his new party.
Arif Hameed Bhatti claims that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has the support of 15 MNAs of PML-N as well as the "Pindi region"

On the other hand, former finance minister Miftah Ismail is openly criticizing the government and said that he will soon take a decision regarding his political future. He lamented that the Muslim League was not making the right decisions regarding IMF.
