'Poor Version Of Mission Impossible': 'Pathaan' Trailer Trolled For 'Cringe' Visuals, Dialogues
Pathaan, the action-thriller starring Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, is in for some more trouble as its newly released trailer has failed to get the fans' approval.

The film, which is already under heavy criticism from Indian hardliners for the 'objectionable' attire, has been termed a poor version of the Mission Impossible flick.

After the 'bad wardrobe and choreography', social media is rife with comments targeting the visuals and 'cringe dialogues'.

Some on the social media platforms seemed to think that the film was an ensemble of Hollywood's Fast and Furious, Mission Impossible, and Captain America.

Some went as far to suggesting that the shots were perhaps a poor copy of Shaan Shahid’s 2013 War.

Others bashed the flick for being cringeworthy, below average, and a total disappointment. Let's look at some of those comments, below.

Earlier this month, members of the extremist Hindu nationalist party Bajrang Dal destroyed the posters of the film in Gujarat.

In a video shared on Twitter, members of the group could be seen tearing the promotional material apart.

The hardliners then began to threaten the staff at the Multiplex cinema and asked them to suspend the screening.

Last month, BJP’s leader Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra asked authorities to fix the objectionable part of Besharam Rang, the film’s song.

Mishra was quoted as saying by the ANI news agency that the “costumes in the song at first glance are objectionable. It is clearly visible that the song of the film Pathaan has been shot with a dirty mindset.”

He had said, “I don’t think this is right, and I will tell the director and makers of the film to fix it.”

The minister had also objected to the way “saffron and green have been worn, the colours of the song, the lyrics and the title of the film are not peaceful,” saying, “it needs improvement.”

He went on to add that they will “consider prompt action” if the film was not ‘fixed’ as suggested

The film is set for release on January 25, 2023, with more reactions from across the world yet to be seen.
