Chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province Mahmood Khan announced some hours ago today (Saturday) that the provincial assembly will soon stand dissolved.
Talking at a press conference in Peshawar, Mahmood Khan said that it was his “last address” as the KP assembly would be dissolved later.
The chief minister stated that he was absolutely subordinate to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, who would not give suggestions but would rather give a signal, and then the summary for the assembly dissolution will be sent to the KP governor. Mahmood Khan said that he will send a message to everyone on WhatsApp as soon as he moves the summary for tthe assembly’s dissolution.
He reiterated that he was a worker of Imran Khan and PTI, and that he was mindful that Allah had made him chief minister through Imran Khan.

Mahmood Khan also congratulated his cabinet, and added that victory and defeat were part of elections.
The ‘outgoing’ chief minister KP claimed that the PTI, based on its performance, would win a resounding two-thirds majority vote in the next elections.
