Pakistani Women Blazing Ahead Again: Sherry Rehman, Justice Ayesha Malik Listed in Forbes' 50 over 50
Sherry Rehman is a former journalist, ex editor of Herald, Minister of Communication and Pakistan's Ambassador to the US. She went on to become the first woman to serve as the Senate's Leader of the Opposition in 2018.  Founder of the Jinnah Institute, in 2022, she was appointed Minister of Climate Change by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Rehman has won numerous honours, including the Nishan-e-Imtiaz, Pakistan's highest civil award.

Justice Ayesha Malik was a judge at the Lahore High Court for 10 years before becoming the first woman to serve as a justice of Pakistan’s Supreme Court.  Justice Malik was the chair of the Judicial Officers Female Supervisory Committee and on the board of the Punjab Judicial Academy. In 2021, Justice Malik announced a groundbreaking decision banning virginity tests in rape cases.
