Manchester United Sign Werghorst

Manchester United have negotiated a deal to sign Dutch forward Wout Weghorst on loan for the remainder of the Premier League season. The 30-year-old striker from Burnley spent the first half of the season at Besiktas but is now on his way to Manchester for a medical check-up before the move can be completed. A deal has been agreed to for his loan at the Turkish club to end. Weghorst scored eight goals and assisted 4 in 16 league games for Besiktas.

His latest goal came in a 2-1 win against Kasimpasa on the 7th of January and, at the aftermath that match, he waved goodbye to Besiktas' fans. The move finally lets United manager Erik ten Hag to bring in his fellow Dutchman to fill the vacancy for a striker in his squad. Weghorst also scored two late goals for the Netherlands in their World Cup quarter-final with Argentina last month

The 30-year-old scored two goals in 20 appearances for Burnley following his £12m arrival from Wolfsburg 12 months ago, a contribution that was not enough to prevent Bunrley being relegated to the Championship. Providing that they are nit impeded by un-forseen circumstances, Weghorst could be registered in time to play in Saturday's match against Manchester City at Old Trafford Stadium.
