This comes a day after the US, UK and Italian embassies issued security threat alerts yesterday, on Sunday, regarding their officials and citizens in Islamabad. The US embassy also instructed its officials to refrain from visiting the Marriott hotel.
On Friday, a suicide bombing took place at a police checkpoint in Sector I-10 of Islamabad. Law enforcement in the federal capital has been on edge since that terror attack.
