'Establishment Is Controversial, Not Neutral, After Project Imran'

'Establishment Is Controversial, Not Neutral, After Project Imran'
After 'Project Imran', the establishment has become controversial, but it is still not neutral, says analyst at Naya Daur TV programme on Wednesday.

Their role to deal with the remnants of the project is still a subject to ponder upon, the situation is quite complicated, said renowned intellect and writer Dr. Mohammad Waseem.

He noted that ex-premier's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has been able to create a stir due to a lack of political stability in the country.

Dr. Waseem said it was impossible for establishment to have no role in politics, but added that it was in trouble at the moment.

The expert opined that Governor's Rule in Punjab will drag mainstream politics away from democracy.

If the governor is dismissed, it will fuel political unrest and allow Imran Khan to exercise street power.

Analyst Ayesha Siddiqa seconded the opinion, saying it was now difficult for establishment to present itself to the people as an impartial entity.

Flagship Naya Daur TV show Khabar Say Aagay streams Monday to Saturday at 9pm.
