Opposition Submits No-Confidence Motion Against CM Elahi
A delegation of opposition parties comprising PPP and PML-N on Monday submitted a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Pervez Elahi in Punjab Assembly.

The development was confirmed by Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah while talking to Geo News.

According to the documents submitted, the aforesaid political parties have lost confidence in CM Elahi as the leader of the House.

In view of the motion, Governor Punjab has reportedly summoned a meeting on Wednesday at at 4pm.

It is pertinent to mention here that PTI chairman Imran Khan has said that he has received a summary by CM Elahi on the assemblies dissolution.

On Dec 17, the ex-premier announced to dissolve the assemblies next Friday and begin preparations for elections.

“We will approach the Speaker NA and demand him to accept our resignations,” he maintained.

Last month, Imran said his party would distance itself from the “corrupt political system” by quitting the provincial assemblies.
