Ex-chief minister Usman Buzdar on Monday hit back at PML-Q’s Pervez Elahi, terming the criticism at him as equivalent to criticism of the PTI’s narrative.

On Sunday, during an interview with a private news channel, Elahi took the former CM to task over ‘poor governance’ in the province. The chief minister took particular aim at Buzdar for ‘neglecting’ Gujarat, a stronghold of his party, saying he had to “fix everything, ruined during the past four years.”

However, speaking to media in Lahore today (December 19), ex-chief minister Buzdar expressed satisfaction with his performance during his tenure.

"I have a lot to say but it's not the time to reveal everything"

Buzdar said that he had never turned his guns towards his political rivals, and that he considered them worthy of respect.

The former chief minister also denied being favoured by Elahi in any form during his term from 2018 to early this year.

In Sunday’s interview, the PML-Q leader and Punjab chief minister had also dismissed PTI chairman Imran Khan’s criticism at former Chief of Army Staff General (retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa.
