Sanaullah Given 'Clean Chit' In Narcotics Smuggling Case
An anti-narcotics court on Saturday acquitted PML-N's Rana Sanaullah in the narcotics smuggling case.

The court heard the case on the plea for acquittal by the accused. During the hearing, the witnesses told the judge they were not in knowledge of narcotics' recovery from the accused.

Rana Sanaullah was arrested on July 1, 2019 near the Ravi Toll Plaza by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while travelling from Faisalabad to Lahore. He was accused at the time of carrying 15 kilogrammes of heroin in his vehicle.

He was twice denied bail by the trial court before being released by the Lahore High Court (LHC) on December 24, 2019.

The PML-N leader had earlier said that he was unaware about the reason for his arrest until produced in the court.

He had also termed the case against him bogus and a result of political maneuvering.
