Climate Change Minister Sherry Rehman has been named amongst the 25 most influential women of 2022.
The unranked list was compiled by British daily Financial Times. Sherry was profiled by Scotland First Minister Nicola Sturgeon for the publication.
The force of Sherry’s argument. Sturgeon said, compelled the global north to take notice of the “injustice at the heart” of the climate crisis. Combining her negotiating skills and pragmaticism, the climate change minister overcame obstructions placed by the developed world in her path, Sturgeon wrote. The creation of a fund for countries reeling from the impact of climate change Sturgeon credited to Sherry’s moral authority.
