Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi will not dissolve the provincial legislature, Naya Daur executive editor Murtaza Solangi said on Monday.
Solangi made the comments in flagship Naya Daur show Khabar Say Aagay. Elahi, Solangi said, stood to benefit from this. Dissolving assemblies prematurely results in an extended caretaker setup, he said. They, Solangi said, usually look towards “Rawalpindi”.
Analyst Zaigham Khan said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan had failed to ramp up pressure on the establishment. While it earlier appeared that he held some sway over the judiciary, even that impression now seems to be untrue, Zaigham said. The analyst said Khan had similarly failed to mount pressure on the governing coalition.
Economist Aqdas Afzal said Pakistan will not default. The nation, he said, was no where even close to it.
Flagship Naya Daur show streams every Monday to Saturday at 9pm.

Imran is going to be roughed up till economic turnaround as now question that’s hanging in everyone’s mind is even if he gets a mandate is he fit for the purpose of public office as the only agility Imran has shown so far is building false narratives and whipping up a fancy. But he can’t feed hungry mouths and no one is keen to tank the economy since he has no safe pair of hands that anyone can trust.
