On Friday November 25, Nighat Dad represented Pakistan at the UN where she spoke on digital transformation focusing on how technology and online spaces can help create a global connection.

She also spoke on how fake news and disinformation causes harm to democracy worldwide leading to persecution of journalists and a loss of freedom of speech.

While speaking about her organisation and how it has helped 13,000 victims of online attacks and abuse via a special helpline, she also spoke about the Oversight Board.
