'All Is Not Well, Everyone Is Not On The Same Page': Sheikh Rasheed On COAS Appointment
Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed has claimed that judging from the statements of the defence minister and the interior minister, it appears that all is not well and everyone is 'not on the same page' regarding the appointment of the new army chief.

In a tweet on Tuesday morning amid the ongoing army chief appointment deliberations by the federal government, Sheikh Rasheed said that until the matter of the new army chief is not settled, the political situation will not improve.

"Rana Sanaullah's statement claiming that the new army chief will be appointed even without a summary notice raises alarm bells," he said, adding that it was clear from Defence Minister Khawaja Asif's statement that 'all was not well'.

"Everyone is not on the same page," he wrote. "They get records of wealth assets leaked themselves, and then they give orders for investigations into the leaks," Rasheed said in an apparent reference to a report by FactFocus that detailed the alleged wealth assets of incumbent army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his family.

Shortly after the report was published and went viral on social media in Pakistan, the FactFocus website was reportedly blocked in the country. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar took 'serious notice' of the leak and ordered an investigation.
