Waseem Ashraf was the senior most lieutenant general in Pakistan until November 18. He has now retired and Asim Munir is now officially the senior most Lt Gen of the country. He hasn’t received the retirement letter either. The hurdles in the way of next COAS appointment have now been cleared, says Azaz Syed.
