Twitterati on Tuesday wished Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif a speedy recovery after he tested positive for Covid-19.
Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb announced the update on Shehbaz’s health in a post on micro-blogging site Twitter. The prime minister, she said, had tested positive for Corona. Shehbaz, Marriyum said, had been feeling unwell since two days. He had undergone a test in line with a doctor’s advice today (Tuesday). She appealed to both: the nation and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) activists to pray for the prime minister.
The younger Sharif brother has reportedly contracted Corona twice earlier. He had tested positive earlier in January and June, 2020.
Prime Minister Strategic Reforms Head Salman Sufi in his message stressed the importance of ensuring Covid vaccine boosters were updated. “Prayers for a swift recovery of PM @CMShehbaz from Covid It is very important we all ensure our Covid Vaccine boosters are updated. Firebrand PML-N MPA Hina Butt said the PM had quarantined himself. She prayed for his swift recovery. “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif tests positive for Corona. He has quarantined himself. Request for prayers. May Allah bless him with swift recovery. AMEEN.”
Actor-turned-journalist Shama Junejo too prayed for his quick recovery. “Prime Minister Pakistan @CMShehbaz tested Covid Positive. Prayers for his fast recovery.”
Anchor Hamid Mir prayed to the Almighty for the prime minister’s swift recovery in his get well soon message. “Get well soon @CMShehbaz,” he tweeted.
