PM Shehbaz Sharif Tests Positive For Covid-19 Upon Return From London
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has contracted Covid-19 again, two days after returning to Pakistan from London, where he met his brother, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif to make important political decisions.

The news was broken by Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Twitter on Tuesday, who said that the PM had been advised by his doctors to take a Covid test, which had come out positive. She appealed to the nation to pray for the premier.

"Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is Corona positive. He was unwell for two days. The Corona test was done today on the advice of the doctor," she wrote, urging politicians and the public to pray for his recovery.

This is the third time the premier has contracted Covid, the first time being in June 2020, and the second being this year in January.

PM Shehbaz had likely contracted Covid during his five-day stay in London visiting his brother Nawaz Sharif. He returned to Pakistan on Monday, and spent the day 'slowly', due to feeling unwell. On the advice of his doctor he took a Covid test, which turned out to be positive.
