Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday roasted India with an epic burn after the nation’s cricket team lost to England in the ICC T-20 World Cup semis.
“So, this Sunday, it’s: 152/0 vs 170/0,” the prime minister said on micro-blogging site Twitter in a jab at Pakistan and England having successfully chased totals set by India for the loss of no wickets in different matches. Pakistan had defeated India earlier in 2021 while England did the same on Thursday as aforementioned.
Ride-hailing behemoth Careem earlier on Sunday tore into Indian food delivery company Zoomato’s caustic tweet on the hit-and-miss performance of the Pakistani cricket team at the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup underway in Australia after the team defied odds to storm into tournament semi-finals. “Order placed for home delivery of pak team,” Zomato had tweeted on October 30 in a jibe at the team’s shaky start in the tournament.
