Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Wednesday that he will reveal the name of a second military functionary involved in a plot to assassinate him.
In a tweet the same day, the PTI chairman said he will reveal the name of the officer seated alongside Major General Faisal in a "control room" over 12pm-5pm to monitor the "execution" of the plot. "I wiĺl also disclose the name of the second officer who was sitting with Maj General Faisal in the control room from around 12 noon to 5 pm monitoring the execution of the plot." In the same Twitter thread, he said he became cognisant of the "plot" around two months earlier and had publicly exposed it at the September and October PTI Rahim Yar Khan and Mianwali shows of power. The Wazirabad assassination attempt, the PTI chief said, had gone according to "script".

It later emerged that he had been injured. The PTI supremo sustained a bullet in the leg, according to initial reports. The PTI chairman was taken to a Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore.
The PTI supremo claimed after that “Dirty Harry” Major General Faisal, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah wanted him killed. The PTI chairman made the comments while addressing an “important” address to the nation. The former prime minister said the party had been struggling to have an FIR of the Wazirabad assassination attempt lodged. How can, he said, an impartial probe be conducted if the interior minister, prime minister and a major general had been named as suspects. That is why, the PTI chairman said, they needed to vacate office. Imran directed the nation to mount nationwide protests till the three resigned.
