Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday admitted to having communications with officials from the intelligence agencies, claiming that his prior knowledge of the attack on him came from insiders within the Pakistani intelligence agencies.
“How did I get the information? From within the intelligence agencies. Why? Because most people are appalled by what is going on in this country. What is happening in Pakistan is unprecedented.”
The former prime minister made these remarks during an interview with CNN on Monday, where he explained the details of the assassination attempt on him last Thursday in Wazirabad. A man identified as Naveed Ahmad had fired a round of bullets aimed at Khan, injuring him in his leg. The attack left one man dead and 14 others injured.
Talking to CNN’s Becky Anderson, Khan said that there were two shooters, and ‘maybe a third’. Calling the attack a ‘planned assassination attempt’, he said it could take him around ‘four to six weeks’ to recover enough to rejoin the long march.
He said he had advanced knowledge about the attack courtesy of individuals in the intelligence agencies who he had connections with, who were ‘appalled at the current state of affairs’.

There have been many audio leaks that his sympathisers have managed. He could perhaps get his supporters in the agencies to provide him any audio proof that this was an indeed an assassination plot hatched by the agencies and present it to the judicial commission.
So he was forewarned, took no precautions and stood on the bus top to offer himself to the shooter.
And admits to the conspiracy within the military – establishment against the nation state.
Lots of interesting observations in the CNN interview. His English has deteriorated a lot and he was struggling to translate his narratives and his ramblings and excuses were cut off by the anchor as he was evading the central question of what evidence he has and just pointed to his handlers in the agencies knowing well this can never be substantiated. He tried to get an upper hand by Becki let me tell you the secret because I know the west more than anyone but she shrugged him off by saying we know that (and it doesn’t make any sense). So it came across as just another long winded conspiracy theory.
The anchor kept cutting through his bullshit and she very impressively took him directly on the US conspiracy narrative and he got flustered as he was talking on CNN and could not repeat or defend this narrative. So this interview has put the last nail in the coffin of imported government however you look at it.
In the international and national sense his oratory skills are poorer than his opponent SS who takes on a full range of journalists from all media houses and judging from his COP27 speech delivers an impactful statement with brilliant sound bites like “we don’t have a planet B” in a very statesman like manner. It lingers on as a humble and sincere pitch in your mind and will have an impact.
In comparison Kaptaan is just an average orator that interestingly only aims to speak nearly daily to his own fans only to repeat narratives to keep boosting their gullible minds so that they don’t wander off him to prove to himself on a daily basis that he is still worth it. Hitler in 1932 campaign did such repetitive 200 plus speeches but Kaptaan is over 200 in 6 months. Certainly broken another record. Congrats!
I hope he is able to pull himself back from a narc rage after being jilted by military and understand what a recent survey is showing as he is only supported by his believers who are in minority while the majority want him to ditch Fascist ideals and become a democrat by going back to parliament and legislate for elections and form an interim administration for the remaining 10 months as leader of the opposition. He is alienating the people off him and must listen more then just talking crazy all the time.
People want to hear what will he do differently if he gets another chance as the PM with a two third majority and does he has a plan to work with likeminded democrats if it’s a hung Parliament. If he continues hunting for military support then neither military nor public wants him that’s for sure. Pakistan’s military doesn’t want to be a narc’s bitch anymore for sure. This is their considered opinion and they want to pull their fingers out of this sick relationship after experiencing the 4 years of this marriage. It’s over. Move on please.
Reflect, repent and return as a sobered up democrat and institutions might look at you in a different light.
