PTI Long March To Resume Tomorrow After Imran Khan Accepts PM's Probe Committee
After a brief hiatus following an attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in Wazirabad, the party's long march will commence from the same place tomorrow, as the party chief accepted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's proposal for a full-court Supreme Court probe into the shooting.

The PTI chief had been admitted at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital, from where he was discharged on Sunday evening. While still at the hospital, Khan made the announcement of the resumption of the march, and revealed that party leader and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi would be leading the march while Khan recovers.

The former prime minister said that he will join the march in 10-14 days when it reaches Rawalpindi depending on the speed of the procession, taking the time in between to recuperate. During this time, Khan would be addressing the long march through video link from Lahore.

During his press conference from the hospital, Khan also endorsed Prime Minister Shehbaz's proposal for a full court investigation into his allegations regarding the perpetrators of the attack. Khan had previously alleged that PM Shehbaz, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and a senior army official Major General Faisal were involved in the assassination attempt on him.

On Thursday as the PTI long march caravan entered Wazirabad, a man identified as Naveed Ahmad, shot a round of bullets aimed at the PTI chief, injuring him in his leg. It was later learned that one by-stander was killed, while 14 others were injured as a result of the spray of bullets.
