Former finance minister Asad Umar on Thursday said the cowardly had attempted to assassinate Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.
Umar, a senior PTI leader, said the cowardly had attempted to do this since they were unable to halt “unstoppable” Imran. The Almighty he said was with the PTI chairman. The Almighty he said wanted Imran to achieve much more for the nation in the near future.
PTI chairman Imran Khan has reportedly been injured in a Thursday firing incident in Wazirabad.
Gunshots were reported in the vicinity of the PTI chairman’s container earlier. It later emerged that he had been injured. The PTI supremo sustained a bullet in the leg. The PTI chairman has been taken to a Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore. His condition is said to be stable.
