Jemima Khan took to twitter on Thursday to express her concern for former husband Imran Khan and to thank the man who caught the assailant.
“Hero 🙏 Pakistan emoji,” Jemima captioned her tweet as. “The news we dread… Thank God he’s okay. And thank you from his sons to the heroic man in the crowd who tackled the gunman,” she tweeted after. Her final tweet, till the time this report was filed, was on how she was grateful to another who had done the same but had not survived. “Another hero, who tried to stop the gunman, who very sadly didn’t survive. Condolences to his family.”

PTI chairman Imran Khan was injured in a Thursday firing incident in Wazirabad. Gunshots were reported in the vicinity of the PTI chairman’s container earlier. It later emerged that he had been injured. The PTI supremo sustained a bullet in the leg. The PTI chairman has been taken to a Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore. His condition is said to be stable.
