International celebrities including Pakistanis of note on Thursday took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express their anguish after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan was attacked in Wazirabad.
Pakistani heartthrob Ali Zafar said the nation needed Imran while reminiscing about the aftermath of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Benazir Bhutto. "I remember the dark,depressing days n time after the assassination of Shaheed mohtarma BeNazir Bhutto. God forbid had anything fatal happened to @ImranKhanPTI no one can imagine what would erupt. If this is his spirit after being shot 3-4 times in the leg we do need to #ImranKhan"
