Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan on Tuesday wished “wifey” Aishwarya Rai by posting a retro picture of the former Miss World.
The monochrome photo, which features the Devdas actor attired in a sari, has gone viral since then. “Happy Birthday, wifey! Love, light, peace and eternal success. ❤️,” Abhishek captioned it.
The post had garnered over 335,000 likes by the time this report was filed. A whopping 2,513 comments were posted under. Prominent among those who commented under were actors Esha Deol, Bipasha Basu, Anupam Kher, Bobby Deol, Anupam Kher, Kunal Kapoor, director Zoya Akhtar and designer Manish Malhotra.
Aishwarya recently turned 49. The diva’s latest film Ponniyin Selvan I has reportedly breached the INR2,500 million benchmark at the worldwide box office. The hit marks the former Miss World’s fifth collaboration with ace director Mani Ratnam.
The actor had debuted with Mani’s Iuvaar in 1997.The mentor-protégé relationship spans over two decades at 25 years. Aishwarya, a top model before she forayed into Bollywood, was crowned Miss World in 1994.
