Imran Details Swati, Gill 'Custodial Torture' While Commencing Maiden Long March Address
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, during an address to a crowd of supporters at Liberty Chowk ahead of the commencement of the party's second long march to Islamabad, condemned the alleged 'custodial torture' of party leaders Azam Swati and Shahbaz Gill.

The party chief arrived at Liberty Chowk on Friday to address a sea of PTI supporters before the party's long march to Islamabad —their second this year— officially began. During his address, he talked about PTI Senator Azam Swati, who was arrested nearly two weeks ago over his tweets attacking the Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Detailing the events of Azam Swati's arrest, he said that the PTI senator was first abducted unconstitutionally, and was assaulted in front of his grandsons and granddaughters. "Then he was handed to Faisal and Faheem and their compatriots, where he was stripped naked and assaulted and tortured," he claimed.

He then went back to Shahbaz Gill, who made similar claims of custodial torture during his arrest. "They picked Shahbaz up the same way, the police handed him over to Faheem and Faisal's people, who assaulted him and took compromising pictures of him," he thundered.
