Imran Khan Moves Islamabad High Court On ECP Disqualification
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Saturday moved the Islamabad High Court (IHC) challenging the Friday verdict of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) disqualifying him in the Toshakhana reference.

The IHC will hear the petition on Monday.

The ECP disqualified the PTI chairman on Friday. The verdict, which had been reserved a month ago, was announced at 2pm. The decision was taken unanimously by a five-member bench headed by the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja.

According to the decision, Khan stands disqualified for five years. Criminal proceedings, additionally, will be initiated against Imran Khan for the misdeclaration.
