The Toshakhana scandal is the buzz of the town lately, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s disqualification by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is the latest unfolding in the story. Or so we thought.

A list of gifts presented to the former prime minister Imran Khan and former first lady Bushra Bibi has emerged, and the contents of it are quite eye-opening. Who knew dinner sets and humble bottles of oud went for millions and millions of rupees? Here are five of the most expensive state gifts that were kept by Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.

1. Graff Master Minute Repeater Watch, Limited Edition 18k gold and diamond

This humble watch costs a whopping Rs. 85,000,000. For one watch. The rich really do live very different lives. But hey, it’s 18k gold and has diamonds.

2. Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40

Another watch with more diamonds. But get this: this one has actual meteorites in it. We’re not sure how, but that’s what the Rolex website says. Oh and it costs a casual Rs. 380,000. No big deal.

3. A Ring

So we don’t know who made the ring, or what it’s specifications are but we do know that it costs a humungous Rs 8,750,000. Our guess is even more diamonds and gold. Because what else?

4. Yet Another Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date II

A different model of the day-date, but still supremely expensive. Rs 4,408,000 for a nice Rolex watch. The headline says it all; fancy presents for fancy folks.

5. A Jewellery Set (necklace, ring, earrings, bracelet)

The manufacturer of the set hasn’t been disclosed, but the prices of each of the items has. The necklace is worth Rs 10,970,000, the ring is worth Rs 2836,000, the bracelet is worth Rs 2,430,000 and the earrings are worth Rs 1,856,000.
