Which is super helpful especially for those who are experiencing hormonal imbalance or suffering from PCOS. Apart from health benefits, a carrot salad is also a great way to mix up your everyday salad repertoire. Nothing wrong with the humble kachoomar salad, but maybe it’s time to branch out a little and be experimental. The sesame oil adds a hint of nuttiness and puts the salad almost in the realm of chow mein. And the best part? This salad all but assembles itself. Ready? Let’s go.
Ingredients
- 3 medium carrots
- Sesame oil
- A lemon
- Salt
- Pepper
Method
Using a vegetable peeler, peel your carrots. Once they’re peeled, use the peeler to shave off long ribbons of the carrots, rotating it every now and then to ensure you get all the sides. Once all your carrots have been ribbonized (yes that’s a real word now), put them in a large bowl and drizzle on a tablespoon of sesame oil. Squeeze a small lemon and add your salt and pepper and mix mix mix. Et voila, your carrot salad is ready, and its so delicious.
