'All Of PTI Politics Premised On Propaganda'
The entirety of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI's) politics is premised on propaganda, journalist Saleh Zafar said on Tuesday.

Zafar made the comments in flagship Naya Daur TV show Khabar Say Aagay. Zafar said PTI chairman Imran Khan had remained in office courtesy propaganda too. He had taken recourse to propaganda once again now that he was ousted.

He said any individual, irrespective of whether it was the army chief, a judge or the chief election commissioner was expected to do the PTI chief's bidding. This, Zafar said, was an Imran idiosyncrasy. Only then were they fit to essay their responsibilities in the PTI chairman's eyes.

Zafar said the governing coalition and the foreign office had together handled United States President Joe Biden's "most dangerous" remarks astutely. The United States too, he said, had not delivered a biting reply following the Pakistani response. This, Zafar said, was a Pakistani foreign policy success.

Journalist Aijaz Ahmed said Imran knew well that the reference he had filed against the chief election commissioner was devoid of merit. He said Imran's team also knew the by-elections held in October and July were free and fair. The PTI chairman, despite tasting victory in the by-polls, was looking to exert pressure on the commission.

Ahmed said Imran's legal team knew he had a habit of making turnarounds. They also knew his supporters would lap up everything he said irrespective, he said.

Flagship Naya Daur show Khabar Say Aagay streams Monday to Saturday at 9pm.
