Television Mogul Ekta Kapoor Polluting Minds, India Supreme Court Says
The Supreme Court of India on Friday assailed television mogul Ekta Kapoor for "polluting minds" of the young.

The top court made the remarks while hearing a petition challenging the issuance of arrest warrants for the producer in connection with allegedly denigrating soldiers and hurting the sentiments of their kin by airing a web series on OTT medium ALT Balaji, according to Mint.

"Something has to be done. You are polluting the minds of the young generation of this country. It is available to all. OTT (Over The Top) content is available to all. What kind of choice are you providing to the people?....on the contrary you are polluting the minds of youngsters," the SC said.

The top court also warned Ekta against regularly approaching the apex court saying it will "put a cost" on her for filing the petition. "Every time you travel to this court....we don't appreciate this. We will put a cost on you for filing such a petition. Mr. Rohatgi, please convey this to your client. Just because you can afford and hire the services of good lawyers....this court is not for those who have voices."

Ekta, born to yesteryear Bollywood star Jeetendra and wife Shobha Kapoor, is the recipient of several accolades. She is counted amongst India's most influential and holds great sway over the Indian television industry.
