Was Powerless While Prime Minister, Imran Khan Claims
Former prime minister Imran Khan has claimed he was 'effectively powerless' during his stint in office.

Khan made the comments while speaking to journalists in Lahore. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman said had he been able to exercise half the powers he had as prime minister he would have overseen a term akin to famed emperor Sher Shah Suri. Khan said while all responsibility rested with him during his stint power was wielded elsewhere.

He said when his government would nab billionaire tax defaulters they would approach others and directions would stand tweaked.

Khan said he wondered why Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto had been running from pillar to post. This would be in vain, he said.

He said he was undertaking his long march to Islamabad because he considered his political opponents a "security threat". Khan said he had decided that those who had assets abroad will not be extended any perks and privileges.
